Additions in the History
The Present history in the text books of schools and colleges contain defeat of the Indians in the hands of foreign rulers and on account of that Hindu people developed self abuse and slavish mentality.
Shivajee Maharaja established empire in the Maharashtra. The great hero’s Bio-graphy gives us thrilling experience with pride and joy. We simply come across the statement of Ourangajabe that Chatrapati Shivajee was nicknamed as rat in mountains. His great victories are not highlighted.
It is found in the history books that too many taxes were imposed by Sreekrishna Devaraya’s reign in southern Indian region. But the history never shows his contributions to the Telugu literature & progress of the culture in his times. We have to know about his great achievements through other Sources only.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was the Head of the Committee to bring out framework of our Indian Constitution. His name contains the word, ‘Rama’. There are pictures of Ramayana in the text of our constitution. Life of Mahatma Gandhi was filled with remembering Ramanama. At Last he breathed his last while uttering ‘He Ram’. Name of a great actor is Ramarao. Ramojee gave Darshan to Muslim Navab in his dream and refunded the debit incurred by Gopanna. It is well known that Gandhiji wanted Raamaraajya. Veerabrahmendreswaamy described Sree Rama and Yudhishthira as virtuous rulers in his well known songs of Kalajnana tatwas. If we go on counting we can come across lakhs of names related to the Sree Rama katha among the citizens in our society. There are innumerable Sree Rama Temples in every village of our country. It is a great task to bring out the details of the story of Rama depicted in good number of Languages all over the world. it will be huge literary work to take up the task. It is the saddest surprise that Sree Rama’s name is not found in the text books of History of Bharat. Can we say, “because of lack of evidences it is not in the History?
