Evidences of Raamaayana

The Srimad Ramayana is Itihasa. “Iti ha Aasa” means it happened like this. The word Itihasa, means history. There are traces of SriRama’s history in the Lanka shown by natives of that Land. It is said that Picture of Vibheeshana is in the Parliament of Lanka. What more evidence is wanted than Sree Rama’s bridge over southern ocean when it is recognized by the modern scientists and archaeologists?

Venkatadhwari who composed Viswagunadarsha Champu was author of many works. He mentioned Sree Ramasetu in his Viswagunadarsha Champu (20) there are borders of Sree Rama’s empire in the Skanda Purana. Mahakavi Kavikulaguru Kalidasa mentioned Sree Rama’s history in his great epic poem Raghuvamsa (22). He belonged to the last century B.C. as per his version (23) Prior to him Bhasa brought out many plays related to Sree Rama’s story. Is it not a great sad surprise that we do not find even Rama’s name in the History of our motherland?
