My obeisance to beloved, esteemed Vedic Scholar, Brahmasree Chirravoori Sivaramakrishna Sarmajee.
I have gone through the new historical work prepared by you. You have refuted the false statement that Bharat has no history except what foreigners coined. They looked at this nation through biased lenses and created cock-and-bull stories. It is natural for colonial intruders to degrade their subject states and demoralize them by distorting their history and cultural background.
The fact is that the Rigveda is the oldest literary monument in the entire world. Our eighteen Puranas contain a wealth of history, along with symbolic stories. For example, accounts of the Satavahana dynasty are available in both the Matsya Purana and the Vayu Purana.
The lineage of rulers from Dharmaraja to Prithviraj in the Kali Yuga is documented for us in the Puranas. Colonial historians failed to distinguish between Chandragupta Maurya and Chandragupta of the Gupta dynasty. They concocted history around an “Aryan invasion,” whereas the Aryans were native to this sacred land. Alexander the Great was defeated by Porus, yet he was depicted as a world-conquering victor. Furthermore, the history of Madurai along with that of the Musunuri Nayakas was omitted from history books. Chhatrapati Shivaji was disparaged, while Akbar was elevated as “The Great.” Students reading these accounts naturally develop a sense of self-doubt and inferiority.
You have taken great pains to reconstruct these royal dynasties. A similar effort was put forth to some extent by the late Sree Kota Venkatachalam after independence. I sincerely wish that your research work is adopted as a textbook for Intermediate and Degree students.
A person who is unaware of the greatness of their ancestors remains incapable of building their own character.
My heartiest congratulations on your rich Vedic scholarship combined with your historical research outlook. The people of this great nation owe a debt of gratitude to your erudition and deep insight into the history of Bharat.
The Raghuvamsa (the Sun dynasty) is familiar to us through the works of Mahakavi Kalidasa and others. The names of the successors have been brought forth by the author, Dr. Sivaramakrishna Sharmajee. Please examine the details of the royal lineage following Mahapadma Nanda.
Perhaps our country alone suffers from the misfortune of not knowing its own history. Dr. Ch. Sivaramakrishna Sarma has now established that our great Motherland possesses an ancient history dating back over 9,000 years!
Do we agree with the assertion that India was not united prior to foreign rule?
Do we accept that Hinduism originated only in the 4th century A.D.?
Do we consent when scholars claim temple construction began only after the 1st century A.D.?
Should we accept the narratives of pseudo-secularists that breed self-doubt and an inferiority complex?
This authentic work by Dr. Sharmajee firmly answers “No.”
Your name embodies Siva, Sree Rama, and Sreekrishna. Today, we are increasingly aware of the historical invasions that took place in Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Mathura. Bringing these truths to light fosters self-awareness regarding our great nation.
Our ancestors’ method of dating historical events was heavily grounded in astronomy—a system that foreign scholars could not comprehend or accept.
I hope you continue to reveal and reconstruct new chapters in Indian history. Your presentation is scientific, authentic, benevolent, and deeply beneficial to Bharat.
