APPRAISAL OF A HISTORICAL WORK
My esteemed friend, Dr. Ch. Sivarama Krishna Sharma, is a Vedic scholar who is one of the authoritative examiners of Vidyaranya Veda Bhashya. It is a very rare occasion for us to come across such a traditional scholar fully equipped with deep knowledge of ancient Indian history. He has developed a fresh outlook with deep insight into the historical facts of the Harappan relics, authenticated by a wealth of evidence found in the Vedas, Itihasas, and Puranas.
He has been able to contradict and challenge the present history studied in schools and colleges, which was fabricated long ago by foreign scholars with prejudice so that the Indian mind would be filled with self-doubt, enabling them to rule their colonial government indefinitely in Bharat.
The attempt made by Dr. Sharma in this work is highly laudable because he has successfully established the long-standing history of this great nation. He has also put forth a meaningful interpretation of the Ardhamatra (half-Pranava) based on the Siva Purana, establishing that Pranava (Omkara) originates from Maheswara (Lord Siva).
His discovery that the Harappan relics hold a natural connection with the village of Vyaghreswaram in Konaseema, Andhra Pradesh (home to an ancient Siva temple) gives us immense pleasure.
In my opinion, the main purpose of studying the true history of ancient Bharat is to gain self-awareness that enhances self-confidence. Once the people of Bharat regain their self-confidence, our youth will neither need to go abroad for their livelihood nor seek validation from foreign degrees to secure better opportunities in their motherland.
It is heartening to witness the tremendous hard work of Dr. Ch. S.R.K. Sarma. I offer my heartfelt congratulations to him. I sincerely wish that this research work is recognized by the Government of India in order to set right the ancient history of this great nation.
