From Brihadratha to Chandra Sree Chandragupta
There are narrations of Suryavamsa chandravamsa Magadha Vamsa and other dynasties in the Vishnu purana coming down upto Brihadratha to Chandrasree Chandra Gupta. Jarasandha was a very mighty emperor in the Magadha dynasty. His father was Brihadratha. Therefore all his successors were known as Barhadrathas
The rulers of this dynasty including Brihadratha as many as 13 ruled Bharat. Jarasandha died in a dual combat with Bheema. The 23 names appear in the Vishnupurana. The last one in the series was known as Ripunjaya. His Minister was Munika. He killed Ripunjaya and made his Son Pradyota, emperor. Five successors were there, after Pradyota. After that Kings of Sisunabha dynasty came to power. They were ten. These three dynasties ruled for a long period of 1050 years. Mahanandi was the last in the Shishinabha dynasty. Mahapadma was the son of emperor, Mahanandi. Mahanandi begot him with a woman of the 4thcaste. Mahapadma was known as Nanda also. Sumalya etc., eight were his sons. Sudras (Fourth Caste Persons) were rulers. Since Mahapadma. The descendants of Mahapadma, along with him, are called the Nine Nandas. They ruled the Country for 107 years. Kautilya brought them to annihila tion and coronated Chandragupta Maurya to rule Magadha empire. Ten of His successors ruled over 137 years. The last one Brihadratha was killed by his commander in chief named Pushyamitra who became the ruler. He belonged to Sunga vamsa. They ruled the country for 110 years. Thereafter Kings of Kanva dynasty, became rulers. They were four. They ruled over a period of 45 years. The last one Susarma in the clan was killed by his assistant Bali puchchaka who became the next ruler. It is said that Balipuchchaka was a native of Andhradesa. The Successing kings after him ruled over the Country for 456 years. The names of the rulers since Brihadratha uptill Sulomapi who was the last in the list of Andhras were recorded. The duration of the rulers was also mentioned. Seven different clans by name Andhra Bhrutyas, Abhiras etc., seven in Number, Gardabhas ten, Yavanas eight, Turushkas fourteen, Mundas Thirteen, Maunees eleven, ruled for 1090 years. The period of Maunees” rule was for 300 years. Thereafter Kainkilas and Yavanas became rulers. They did not have ceremony of coronation. Their successors by name, Vindhyasakti, Puranjaya, Ramachandra, Dharmaverma, Nandana, Sunandi, Nandi-yasas, Sukra and Praveera ruled over 106 years. Their successors were 30 (Thirty). Among them 13 were Bahlikas, three Pushyanmitras, Patumitras and Ekalas to gether seven and seven Andhras ruled Kosala. The same Andhras are known as Naishadhas as well. Viswasphatika made Kaivastas, Patus, Pulindas & Brahmanas as rulers. Nine Nagas ruled Padmavati Puram; and Magadhas ruled over Gaya, Guptarajya Gangateera and Prayaga. Guhas ruled over four places of Kalinga, Mahisha, Mahendra and Bhauma. Kings of Manidhanyaka dynasty ruled over Naishadhas. Naimishaka, Kalaka and Saka Countries. Kavakas ruled over areas (countries) named Trairajya and Mooshika. Vratya Durija Abhira Sudras ruled over the countries named Saurashtra Avanti, Shoodra, Abhira, Narmada, Marubhoomi. The countries named Sinnutata, Davi-korvi, Chandrabhaga and Kashmira were ruled by Vratya,Mlechcha and Shoodras etc. All of them ruled over separate countries simultaneously. There were 39 Kshatriyas since Brihadratha. All their names were mentioned without fail.
There were 57 rulers beginning with Maha Padma. Names of all those are available. Among them there were Nava Nandas and the ten succeeding Chandragupta Maurya
to Brihadratha were rulers of the 4th caste.
Thereafter ten sungas four Kanvas were there. All the names of those fourteen are mentioned. There are 25 begin ning with Andhra King Balipuchchaka etc. Last one was Sulomapi and prior to him was Chandra-Sri Chandragupta and Samudragupta were associated with Chandrasri. The same Chandragupta was contemporary to Alexandar. He is the one who happened to speak to Alexandar the great.
107 names of the rulers since, Brihadratha are available. Here we come across the names of Ajaatasatru, Udayana, Nava Nandas, Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara,
Ashoka vardhana, Satakarni, Pushyamitra and also the at tributes of Kanvas, Sungas and Andhra Bhrutyas. Their names are available in the Historical work.

We can come to conclusion of roughly 3000 years and above when the periods of the dynasties are added to periods of the individual rulers beginning with Jaraa Sandha. It is difficult to decide which king ruled which Part of this Vast country. The History of the Period There after is well known
