Ghandikota Aryama
The Ghandikota family has been blessed to be followers of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for four generations, beginning in the late 1950s.
Aryama is the eldest of the five Ghandikota brothers. He was born in 1948 in Iragavaram, Andhra Pradesh, India—a town distinguished for its Vedic pandits. His father, Mr. Subba Rao, moved to New York for studies in 1949 and joined the United Nations in 1951. Aryama and his mother, Mrs. Lakshmi Devi Subba Rao, joined his father in New York in 1952.
A consulting electrical engineer by profession, Aryama has worked with Electronic Associates, Bellcore, Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, and AT&T Labs on electrical, computer, telecommunications, and simulation systems for over 50 years, traveling worldwide. He has also served as a consultant for the United Nations.
Aryama resides in New Jersey, USA, with his wife, Bala, and their family. Swami has cured him numerous times and rescued him from complex, potentially dangerous situations. After being without issue for many years, the couple was blessed by Swami with three children, all named by Him: two sons, Jayavardhan and Aryavardhan, and a daughter, Vijayasri.
Aryama is a founding member of the team behind SaiDarshan.org, one of the first websites dedicated to Sri Sathya Sai Baba, launched in 1995 with Swami’s blessings. He has been an active service member and study circle coordinator for many years with Sai Centers in NY/NJ, Holmdel, and East Brunswick, frequently speaking at Sai Organization and multi-faith events. Additionally, Aryama has served as an Adviser for the Sarva Dharma Service Center in Howell, NJ.
